• How we run a remodel.

A clear, four-phase process built to take the chaos out of a high-stakes renovation

Most renovation horror stories trace back to the same root cause: a process that was loose, undocumented, or invented as the project went along. Desert Luxe runs every project — whether it is a single bathroom or a full home — through the same four phases. The steps do not change. Only the scope does.

PLAN

Before anything gets built, everything gets decided

Most cost overruns and timeline blowups happen because decisions get made mid-construction. Our planning phase exists to make as many of those decisions as possible before a single tool comes out.

What happens

Initial consultation (in-home or virtual)

Site assessment and feasibility review

Design direction conversations and inspiration boards

Scope of work documented in writing

Material and finish selections

Detailed estimate with line-item pricing

Typical Duration

2 to 4 weeks for kitchens and baths. 4 to 8 weeks for full home remodels.

Build

Where good planning becomes a finished home.

Construction is the part most clients dread. Our job is to make it the calmest part of your year. You will get weekly written updates, real-time access to your project file, and a single point of contact for everything that comes up.

What Happens

Pre-construction site walk and protection setup

Permits pulled and inspections scheduled

Subcontractor scheduling and on-site coordination

Weekly written client updates with photos

Real-time budget tracking and selection management

On-site quality checks at every phase transition

Typical Duration

8 to 16 weeks for kitchens and baths. 4 to 9 months for full home remodels.

Refine

The difference between done and right.

Most contractors call a project finished when the major work is done. We do not. The last two weeks of a project are reserved for the detail work that separates a renovation from a real home — the punch list, the touch-ups, the last small adjustments that the client will see every day for years.

What happens

Full punch list walk with detailed notes

Scope and feasibility review

All trades return for touch-ups and adjustments

Final cleaning by professional crew

Photography (optional, included on featured projects

Sign-off and final payment

Typical Duration

1 to 2 weeks.

Hand Off

The relationship does not end at the final walk.

Once the project is complete, you get a full handoff package — everything you need to live in and care for your new space. We also stay available for the inevitable small follow-ups and the much-less-inevitable major ones.

What happens

Complete project documentation handed to client

Material and finish care guide

Warranty information for all installed products and trades

Vendor and brand contact list for future needs

90-day check-in

One-year follow-up walkthrough

Typical duration

Ongoing. We are here when you need us.
